Easy Chicken Varuval

Chicken Varuval


Ingredients

500 gm chicken with bones
10 shallots (small onions), finely chopped
1/2 tomato, finely chopped (optional)
2 tsp. ginger garlic paste
1/4 turmeric powder
1/4 garam masala
2 tsp. chili powder (adjust if required)
2 tbsp. of sesame oil (sunflower/corn oil can also be used)
1 cinnamon stick
2 cloves
2 green cardamoms

***Wash and clean the chicken

Method

1.Heat oil in a pan, add cinnamon, cloves, green cardamoms and sauté for a min
2.Add the chopped onions, fry for until golden brown
3.Add ginger garlic paste, fry for a min
4.Add chopped tomato and sauté until it turns mushy (optional)
5.Add the chicken, salt, turmeric powder, chili powder and fry for 2 mins
6.In the Medium flame, cover and cook for 10 mins (flip occasionally to prevent burning)
***Garnish with coriander leaves and its Ready to be served!
